What's my favorite picture I have ever taken? Easy. On January 20th 2022, the Indiana University Men's Basketball team took on the No. 4 ranked Purdue University in a game at home. Despite all odds, my alma mater upset Purdue in a 68-65 nailbiter.
When it came down to the wire, my boss had instructed his four interns to take their positions with about three minutes left in the game. My position was in the balcony of KK amongst thousands of my peers. With my 300mm Canon lens in hand, I awaited the last few minutes of the game. Watching Rob Phinisee hit the game winning three pointer was an experience I will never forget.
As I was sweating profusely through my shirt and shaking with excitement from what the team had accomplished, I took pictures of hundreds of students rushing the court after the win. As soon as I captured the moment Rob was lifted into the air by fellow teammates, I knew I got the shot.
